Wedding FAQ

How far in advance should I order my wedding flowers?

At Brown’s The Florist, we are able to accommodate orders on many different timelines, however, with weddings it is helpful to have your order placed at least six months ahead.

What should I bring to a consultation?

As floral artists, we are very visual and appreciate any photos, fabric swatches etc to help us visualize your event.  It’s also important to know the quantities of pieces you’ll need such as how many bouquets, centrepieces etc.

Do you offer wedding flower packages?

We do not offer wedding packages at this time because every couple is different. We work directly with you to create a unique floral experience just for you.

How much will my wedding flowers cost?

The cost of wedding flowers varies greatly depending on style, availability, and flower choice. We highly recommend that our wedding clients meet with us in person to discuss all the details related to your wedding flowers. This enables us to create a customized quote based on your requests and budget.

How much will my deposit be?

Your deposit will be ⅓ of the total cost of your order. Payment of your deposit along with a signed contract secures your wedding date with us. The remaining ⅔  payment is due six weeks before your wedding. Payment may be made using cash, cheque, credit, or e-transfer.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we use a local delivery service and can deliver anywhere in the Capital Regional District. Delivery fees vary depending on location, timing, and size.

Do you do on-site setup and takedown?

Currently, we do not do on-site setup and takedown. We can have your flowers delivered to your venue, you will need a person at the venue to place all the flowers where needed. If you do require setup or takedown we are happy to recommend local Wedding Planners or another florist who does setup and takedown.

Do you do rentals?

Yes, we do! We rent our containers for ½ the retail cost. We have a rental agreement that must be filled out. If vases are broken or not returned we will charge the full retail cost to the credit card that was given for the rental agreement.
