Wedding FAQ

How far in advance should I order my wedding flowers?

At Brown’s The Florist, we are able to accommodate orders on many different timelines, however, with weddings it is helpful to have your order placed at least six months ahead.

What should I bring to a consultation?

As floral artists, we are very visual and appreciate any photos, fabric swatches etc to help us visualize your event.  It’s also important to know the quantities of pieces you’ll need such as how many bouquets, centrepieces etc.

Do you offer wedding flower packages?

While the majority of the wedding work we do is incredibly custom and unique to each couple, we do offer limited packages through our website.

How much will my wedding flowers cost?

Many factors go into determining the cost of wedding flowers including style, flower choice, and availability, to the finely honed skills it takes to design your flowers. We recommend couples meet with one of our wedding consultants to discuss their wedding flowers to enable us to create a customized proposal.

How much will my deposit be?

Your deposit will be ⅓ of the total cost of your order. Payment of your deposit along with a signed contract secures your wedding date with us. The remaining ⅔  payment is due six weeks before your wedding. Payment may be made using cash, cheque, credit, or e-transfer.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we use a local delivery service and can deliver anywhere in the Capital Regional District. Delivery fees vary depending on location, timing, and size.

Do you do rentals?

Yes, we do! We rent our containers for ½ the retail cost. We have a rental agreement that must be filled out. If vases are broken or not returned we will charge the full retail cost to the credit card that was given for the rental agreement.
